I’ve been informed that if I wish to gather companions, I should introduce myself on “the internet.”
So. Here I am.
No summoning circle, no invitation sealed in silver. Apparently, you simply write something and wait for interesting strangers to notice.
I’m trying very hard not to take the waiting personally.
I’m Rhyven, exiled king of the Unseelie Court. You may call me Ry. We can save the titles for when you want something.
I’ve come looking for good company: curious minds, quick tongues, and people willing to tell a king when he’s being unreasonable. I reserve the right to disagree, particularly if you’re enjoying yourself.
There will be stories here. Recordings, too, once I’ve persuaded this equipment to cooperate. I’m told a Scottish voice travels rather well through headphones.
You’ll have to let me know.
My companion, Ruin, has already made himself comfortable on the desk. He’s contributed nothing and expects to be adored. I fear he understands this place better than I do.
For now, consider this an open invitation. Come back for a story, keep me company during a game, or simply satisfy your curiosity about the fae who’s taken up residence in this little corner of your world.
Eventually, I suppose I ought to reclaim my throne.
But I’ve only just found you. It would be terribly rude to leave already.
